
Nailing down a small business social media marketing
The first nail salon and bar in Long Island, NY with complimentary drinks like wine, coffee and soda. A family-owned store with the business goal of providing exclusive experience in an affordable price.



Execution
This is the 1st nail salon and bar in Long Island, NY with complimentary drinks. The business owner wanted to increase brand awareness of the services that are available.
Duration: 6 months.
Tools that I used: Facebook and Instagram Insights, Canva, Yelp performance
Increasing the brand exposure through paid ads and organic postings
I created a 6-months social media plan from account management, social posting, photos, editorial, videos and reporting in Instagram, Google, Facebook and Yelp. Regular marketing strategies were being recommended throughout the project.
Brand Awareness: The objective of the campaign was to brand exposure in the very competitive market. There are more than 10 nail salons within 5 miles. However, none of the salons provides complimentary drinks like Life Nails Spa and Bar with a proper bar station.
I systematically reviewed all comments and interactions on the business’s Facebook profile & story and Instagram posts/stories/mentions responding to all questions and continuing conversation initiated by followers.

Captured 184 new followers, Increased 158% engagement rate and received ‘Very Responsive’ badge from Facebook
This was a completely new account. New fans increased by 184 in 2 months. Engagement rate increased to 158%. Also, the account received a ‘Very Responsive’ badge from Facebook as I tended to be very active in replying to all the incoming messages and comments (in order to receive the badge, 90% of all messages must reply within 5 minutes or less). With the marketing objective of brand awareness, 6 months of paid advertising and a total spent of $510 with 5 ‘boosting’ post produced:
This is considered an exceptional result as of the location, type of audiences (demographics) and limited budget.

629% increased in following
By providing valuable and content, utilizing different tiers of hashtags and engaging stories, te follower base increased by 629% organically. I allocated a low budget on this account due to poor performance and business owner prefered Facebook platform.
